MUDEC - Klimt Experience (Oct. 20th 2017 – Jan. 7th 2018)
The MUDEC (“Museo delle culture” – “Museum of Cultures”) presents a permanent collection that offers a journey in different historical times and cultural heritages covering from the 17th century to today. Since this part of the museum is for free up until December 31st 2017 I really suggest to check it out: it is really interesting and peculiar.
The MUDEC is also known for its temporary exhibitions and currently presents an amazing one: the “Klimt Experience” (up to January 7th 2018). It allows you to re-experience through images and sound the historical background of the artist’s life and work: the music and the beauty of the artist’s paintings will blow you away!
Cimitero Monumentale di Milano
One of the two largest cemeteries in Milan, this cemetery is noted for its abundance of artistic and decorative tombs and mausoleums. The cemetery houses the final resting places of illustrious people. Some of these include: Alessandro Manzoni (famous Italian poet known for “The Betrothed” or “I Promessi Sposi” in Italian), Ferdinando Bocconi (Founder of Bocconi University), Bruno Munari (Italian artist and designer), and architect Mario Palanti . The cemetery is 250,000 meters square wide. |
