Milan is one of the most popular destinations for shopping not only nationally, but worldwide. The Italian luxury tradition and the MFW (Milan Fashion Week), with its exclusive parties, have always been attracting people from all over the world; indeed, the Quadrilatero della Moda (the high-end fashion district, bounded by via Monte Napoleone, via della Spiga, via Manzoni and Corso Venezia) is considered the most desirable shopping tour by wealthy tourists and fashionistas.
Still, that’s not the kind of fashion we will talk about here. If you are a student or simply a tourist on a budget, but still looking for getting great outfits or peculiar accessories, here you can find our favourite shopping stops. Be unique as you are.

Fashion is a state of mind in Milan: when it’s Fashion Week time, the city gets animated by fancy events. Haute-couture boutiques, cocktail parties, clubs, art galleries become the melting pots for fashionistas, bloggers, stilists, models and photographers. But trying to sneak in isn’t always that easy: the fashion world is a very elitarian club.
Anyway, is it possible to join some informal fashion events – mostly in store – where even a student, with an interest in fashion, can partecipate. Many times it’s sufficient to send a rsvp e-mail to the fashion store considered or, even more easily, just click “I’m going” on the specific event on Facebook. In-store events are always different: sometimes, they invite a testimonial of the brand or host a conference, other times it’s just all about the promotion of a new collection. But the intriguing leitmotiv is the always the same: live dj-sets, free beers and drinks, cool people. These are some in-store events – selected by Milanissimo team - coming soon in Milan. Enjoy!
